The free travel facility on all public transport services operating under the Mass Transit System has been withdrawn.
According to Mass Transit Authority official Uzair Shah, the decision applies to the Orange Line Train, Metro Bus and Speedo Bus services.
He stated that fares will now be reintroduced on public transport systems operating in Lahore, Rawalpindi and Multan.
Under the new policy, all passengers will be required to pay the prescribed fare starting from tomorrow.
Officials said the move is aimed at ensuring the sustainable operation of public transport services and covering operational expenses.
As a result, commuters using the Orange Line, Metro Bus and Speedo Bus services will no longer be able to travel free of charge.
