Qatar has rejected reports claiming it agreed to participate in military action against Iran.
In a statement, Qatar’s International Media Office firmly denied reports published by certain Israeli media outlets alleging that Doha had agreed to take part in military operations against Iran.
The statement described the reports as false and said they were being circulated by individuals seeking to draw Qatar into the conflict, undermine its mediation efforts and further increase regional tensions.
Qatari officials said they have consistently maintained since the beginning of the conflict that Qatar has neither participated in nor intends to participate in military action against any neighbouring country.
The International Media Office added that Qatar would not allow such misleading claims to damage its active diplomatic efforts.
According to the statement, Qatar will continue working with regional and international partners to help end the conflict and pursue a comprehensive and lasting agreement that addresses the concerns of all parties.
