Global oil prices continued to rise amid escalating tensions between the United States and Iran, with major crude benchmarks recording further gains.
Brent crude climbed to $96.54 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate crude reached $91.71 per barrel.
Murban crude recorded a sharper increase, rising by $7 per barrel to reach $106.
The increase in international oil prices comes amid continued tensions between Washington and Tehran and concerns over potential disruptions to global energy supplies.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has also revised domestic petrol and diesel prices.
For September 2, the government increased the price of petrol by Rs1.08 per litre, taking the new rate to Rs343.87 per litre.
The price of high-speed diesel was increased by Rs0.51 per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs370.92 per litre.
