Karachi: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has directed K-Electric to stop unannounced load shedding and submit a comprehensive compliance report within one month.
NEPRA has sent the order to the chief executive officer of K-Electric for implementation.
In its directive, the power regulator made it clear that electricity supply to bill-paying consumers cannot be disconnected because of power theft or non-payment by other consumers connected to the same feeder.
NEPRA has directed K-Electric to ensure compliance with the order and submit a detailed report on the measures taken within one month.
