Karachi: A fire broke out at the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) headquarters, completely destroying Mayor Murtaza Wahab’s office, officials said. No casualties were reported.
According to KMC officials, the fire broke out in the mayor’s office, prompting fire brigade teams to reach the site and launch firefighting operations.
Fire brigade officials said the blaze originated in a kitchen adjacent to the mayor’s office before spreading to the office itself.
The mayor’s office was completely gutted in the fire, but no deaths or injuries were reported.
Firefighters later brought the blaze at the KMC headquarters under control.
