The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has reached a historic milestone, with the index soaring to new heights. Meanwhile, the interbank market witnessed a slight increase in the value of the US dollar by 2 paisas.
On the third business day of the week, the stock exchange experienced a remarkable surge right from the opening bell. The 100 Index surged by 550 points, reaching a new record high of 80,103 points.
It is noteworthy that in the first two days of the new fiscal year, the 100 Index increased by over 1,000 points. Yesterday alone, the index rose by 728 points, closing at 79,553 points.
On the other hand, the interbank market saw a minor increase in the value of the US dollar, which rose by 2 paisas, bringing the exchange rate to 278.40 rupees per dollar.
