2 children were killed and 12 people including 5 police personnel were injured as a result of an explosion near the police line in the Pishin district of Balochistan.
According to the police, the explosion took place in the market near the police line in Pishin, a vehicle standing nearby was destroyed by the blast, and other vehicles were damaged. The sound of the explosion was heard far and wide.
The police have confirmed that 2 children died and 10 people were injured as a result of the blast.
The police say that 5 police personnel are also among the injured in the explosion. As soon as the explosion was reported, the rescue teams reached the spot and the injured were shifted to the hospital for medical assistance.
After the explosion, the police cordoned off the area, and the nature of the blast is being ascertained.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the blast and expressed regret over the death of children. The interior minister said that terrorists who target innocent children do not deserve to be called human beings, this war will continue until the terrorists and facilitators are eliminated.
It should be noted that last month too, a CTD vehicle was targeted in a bomb blast on the closed Khushdal Khan Road in Pishin, while on August 14, one person was killed and 11 people, including children, were injured in two hand grenade attacks in Quetta.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson of the provincial government, Shahid Rind, while condemning the Pishin blast, said that it is regrettable for the loss of precious human lives. Anti-social and anti-state elements do not deserve any concession.
