Islamabad: Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir has stated that the Constitution assigns us the responsibility of ensuring Pakistan’s internal and external security. Anyone who becomes an obstacle to Pakistan’s security or hinders us from performing our duties will face the consequences.
Speaking at the National Action Plan Apex Committee meeting, Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir said that every Pakistani is a soldier in the fight against terrorism. Some are in uniform, while others are not, but we all must unite to combat the menace of terrorism. The Constitution of Pakistan is supreme for all of us, and it assigns us the responsibility of ensuring the country’s internal and external security. Whoever disrupts Pakistan’s security or obstructs our work will bear the consequences.
The Army Chief added that the Pakistan Army and law enforcement agencies are compensating for the shortcomings in governance through the daily sacrifices of their martyrs.
It is worth noting that the National Action Plan Apex Committee meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, was held at the Prime Minister’s House. The meeting was attended by Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, DG ISI, heads of intelligence agencies, and chief ministers of all four provinces
