Details regarding the deportation of Pakistani nationals from Gulf countries were presented in the National Assembly, revealing that a total of 38,616 Pakistanis were deported during the year 2025 due to various violations and offenses.
In a written reply during the question hour, the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis stated that those deported were found involved in different violations, including illegal stay, visa overstays, begging, theft, expired residency permits, and other unlawful activities.
According to the figures shared in the House, 786 Pakistanis were deported from Bahrain, 163 from Kuwait, 5,372 from Oman, 27,692 from Saudi Arabia, 6,794 from the United Arab Emirates, and 644 from Qatar.
Responding to a question raised by Shazia Marri, the Ministry of Interior informed the Assembly that since January 2025, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has conducted 551 raids against illegal foreign currency trade and hawala/hundi operators. A total of 576 cases were registered, 703 suspects were arrested, and convictions were secured in 324 cases.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defence informed lawmakers that the federal government has prepared a comprehensive National Utilization Framework. Pakistan’s first hyperspectral satellite is currently in the orbit testing phase, and image data is expected to be made available to various organizations by the end of this month after testing is completed.
The Defence Minister stated that under this framework, services related to agriculture, environmental monitoring, and disaster management will be provided to citizens, and its implementation is progressing in a positive direction.
