Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has announced that he will personally begin teaching in public schools starting from the first week of September.
According to the minister, he will start teaching at a school in Lahore, where he plans to initially teach English and Chemistry, describing them as his favourite subjects.
He said he would teach English at the primary school level and Chemistry in high schools, while adding that he also intends to teach other subjects in the future.
Rana Sikandar Hayat further stated that he would visit a different public school every week without prior notice to teach students and observe classroom activities firsthand.
The education minister said he has great respect for teachers and would consider it an honour to serve as one.
He added that the initiative would help assess educational standards, identify weaknesses in classroom teaching and contribute to improving the overall quality of education.
