Punjab Information Minister Uzma Bukhari stated that Murad Ali Shah and his party have been ruling Sindh for 16 years and should now present their performance. She said the Chief Minister of Sindh should appear different from Ali Amin Gandapur.
Reacting strongly to Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah’s press conference, Uzma Bukhari said that Murad Shah seems more concerned about Punjab’s farmers than those in Sindh, while Punjab’s own leadership is present to address its farmers’ issues.
She questioned whether there are no farmers in Sindh and whether the Sindh government has set a price for wheat. She further asked whether the Sindh government has even procured wheat from farmers.
Bukhari emphasized that Murad Ali Shah and his party have governed Sindh for 16 years and should now show their results. She stated that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has given a historic package worth Rs110 billion to farmers in just one year.
The provincial minister said that Punjab’s farmers have received farmer cards, green tractors, and super seeders. She added that Maryam Nawaz has also announced a solar tube well initiative and a Rs15 billion wheat support package. According to her, Punjab has achieved record wheat production this year, and even higher yields are expected next year.
Uzma Bukhari further stated that Punjab’s development and prosperity have become a matter of concern for the governments of two other provinces. She alleged that Murad Ali Shah is supporting the protesters who are blocking Sindh’s main highway and reiterated that he should distinguish himself from Gandapur.
