Karachi: After two consecutive days of intense sunshine, the city’s weather took a turn on Monday morning as cloudy skies brought light showers and drizzle to various areas, creating pleasant conditions for residents.
According to details, Clifton, M.A. Jinnah Road, and Shahrah-e-Faisal were among the areas that experienced light rainfall, caused by low-level clouds forming over the Arabian Sea.
The Early Warning Center of the Meteorological Department forecasts that Karachi will remain partly cloudy over the next three days, with chances of occasional drizzle or light showers. It added that southwesterly sea breezes are likely to remain consistent throughout this period.
While most parts of Sindh are expected to stay hot and humid, the coastal regions may continue to experience light rainfall and drizzle.
Meteorologists said that a new monsoon system is expected to impact Pakistan between September 16 and 19, under which Sindh’s coastal districts may remain under cloudy skies. However, they clarified that there is currently no likelihood of heavy rainfall in Karachi under this system.
Meanwhile, Weather Updates predicted that within the next 12 to 24 hours, moist winds from the Arabian Sea and a convergence zone at low atmospheric levels may trigger drizzle and light rain across different parts of Karachi. It also forecasts that certain areas of the city could witness moderate showers between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. tomorrow.
