The ongoing strike by the national airline’s aircraft engineers has led to the cancellation of 14 additional flights today, further disrupting flight operations across the country.
According to the News Report, the strike has now entered its fourth day, during which a total of 39 flights, including today’s 14, have been cancelled, leaving a large number of passengers facing significant inconvenience.
Officials stated that apart from flight cancellations, delays within the national airline’s schedule have also worsened, with the duration of some delays extending up to 13 hours, adding to the difficulties of travelers.
The report revealed that several flights departing from Karachi, Multan, Islamabad, Peshawar, Faisalabad, and Lahore have been cancelled due to the strike, and more cancellations are expected if the situation continues.
It is noteworthy that aircraft engineers have been protesting over the lack of a salary increase. Meanwhile, the president and secretary of the Society of Aircraft were dismissed from their jobs yesterday, which has further escalated tensions.
