In a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in Lahore, the Punjab government has decided to take strict action against violations of the one-dish policy and the unnecessary use of loudspeakers across the province.
During the session, all commissioners and deputy commissioners were directed to ensure compliance with the one-dish restriction at weddings and other events without any exceptions.
The chief minister also ordered immediate action against the use of loud music during ceremonies and instructed authorities to enforce restrictions on the illegal use of loudspeakers at farmhouses and open grounds. The directives aim to control unnecessary noise in residential and public areas.
It was further decided that the one-dish policy would also apply to events held at farmhouses and grounds, while monitoring of the officially designated timings for marriage halls would be carried out to ensure full compliance with the regulations.
