Mastung: A bomb blast took place near Girls High School at Civil Hospital Chowk in Mastung district of Balochistan in which 7 people including school children were killed and more than 20 were injured.
According to the police, a policeman, 5 children, and a passerby are among the dead, while most of the injured are school children.
Later, 3 more injured died in the hospital during the treatment, after which the death toll has increased to 7.
Those injured in the bomb blast have been shifted to DHQ Hospital while a police mobile was also destroyed in the blast.
In the bomb blast, other vehicles and rickshaws on the square have also been damaged, the sound of the explosion was heard in the nearby areas, while police and rescue personnel reached the spot.
Condemnation of Balochistan Govt
The Balochistan government condemned the bomb blast near the school in Mastung and sought a report from the provincial home department.
According to Shahid Rand, the provincial government spokesperson, the district administration, bomb disposal squad, and security forces are present at the spot, and the nature of the explosion is being determined.
The spokesman further says that evidence is being collected from the incident site, an emergency has been declared in the hospitals, and doctors and medical staff have been summoned.
On the other hand, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has expressed his grief to the martyred policemen and children’s relatives while condemning the blast.
In his statement, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that the terrorists have now targeted innocent children along with the laborers, and the blood of innocent children and innocent people will be accounted for.
He has further said in his statement that the local people in the civilian population also have to keep an eye on the terrorists, the monster of terrorism can be fought only together.
