Islamabad: Federal government dues against K-Electric have surged by 93% over the past year, reaching Rs421 billion by June 2026.
According to available figures, the outstanding amount increased by Rs203 billion between June 2025 and June 2026.
Following the sharp increase, total federal government dues against K-Electric reached Rs421 billion by the end of June 2026, representing a rise of approximately 93% compared with the same period a year earlier.
The figures indicate that the outstanding amount stood at around Rs218 billion in June 2025 before increasing by Rs203 billion over the following 12 months.
As a result, the total dues nearly doubled within a year, highlighting a significant increase in outstanding liabilities.
