In a joint intelligence-based operation carried out by the police and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in the Miryan area of Bannu, six terrorists were killed while several others were arrested. The operation was aimed at destroying terrorist hideouts and restoring peace in the region.
Regional Police Officer (RPO) Bannu, Sajjad Khan, told the media that the operation, which began last night, resulted in the killing of six terrorists and the arrest of three others in injured condition. Additionally, 25 suspected individuals were taken into custody and handed over to the police for further investigation.
Sajjad Khan stated that the purpose of this successful operation was to rid the area of terrorist elements and to improve the overall security situation. The police and CTD emphasized that such operations will continue to eliminate terrorism and ensure that citizens can live without fear.
Local administration also praised the operation, stating that such steps are necessary for the restoration of peace and pledged full support to the law enforcement agencies.
