Rawalpindi: Field Marshal Asim Munir and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Jordanian Armed Forces Major General Yousef Ahmed A. Al-Huneiti have agreed to further expand defence cooperation between Pakistan and Jordan.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Jordanian Armed Forces Major General Yousef Ahmed A. Al-Huneiti held a meeting with the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir at GHQ Rawalpindi.
The statement said that matters of mutual interest, the evolving regional security environment, and ways to further enhance bilateral defence and military cooperation were discussed in detail during the meeting.
ISPR stated that the Jordanian military leadership appreciated the professionalism of Pakistan’s armed forces and their role in promoting peace and stability in the region.
On the occasion, Field Marshal Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening defence ties between the armed forces of Pakistan and Jordan while emphasizing the importance of joint efforts to address emerging security challenges.
According to ISPR, both sides expressed their resolve to further expand military-level engagement and cooperation.
