Consul General of Pakistan Rana Samar Javed has formally inaugurated a new NADRA office at the Pakistan Consulate in Glasgow, enabling Pakistani nationals residing in Scotland to access identity cards and related documentation services locally.
The establishment of a permanent NADRA office at the consulate is the result of continuous efforts by Rana Samar Javed. The facility will provide services related to the issuance and renewal of national identity cards and other official documents, marking a significant step for overseas Pakistanis.
Previously, a NADRA team from Bradford, England, would visit Glasgow only once a month. However, this arrangement proved insufficient given the growing needs of the Pakistani community in Scotland, causing considerable inconvenience and delays in processing applications.
With the new office now operational, Pakistani residents across Scotland will no longer need to travel to other cities to obtain essential documentation. Community leaders expressed appreciation for Rana Samar Javed’s dedicated efforts and thanked him for facilitating this important development for the community.
