Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated President Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on the Pakistan Peoples Party’s success in the Gilgit-Baltistan elections.
In a statement, the prime minister also congratulated the people of Gilgit-Baltistan for participating in a peaceful, transparent, and democratic electoral process.
He said the Pakistan Peoples Party had emerged as the largest political force in the elections and deserved congratulations for its performance.
Shehbaz Sharif also congratulated successful candidates of Pakistan Muslim League-N, praising their efforts and competitive campaign during the elections.
The prime minister extended congratulations to all winning candidates and expressed hope that they would work for the welfare and development of the people.
He described peaceful and transparent elections as a hallmark of democracy and praised the Election Commission for ensuring a fair electoral process.
The prime minister also acknowledged the role of police and law enforcement agencies in maintaining peace and security during the elections.
