Russia launched a new wave of drone and missile attacks across several regions of Ukraine, killing at least eight people and injuring more than 34 others.
According to Ukrainian military officials, residential buildings were among the targets, causing significant casualties and widespread damage.
Local authorities said a hotel caught fire during the strikes, while a six-story residential building collapsed completely.
Emergency crews continue search-and-rescue operations, working to locate survivors trapped beneath the rubble and assist affected residents.
Meanwhile, Russia’s Ministry of Defense claimed its forces targeted airports in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava regions.
The ministry said the operation involved long-range precision weapons and drones launched from air, land and sea platforms.
