Pakistan’s security forces have killed 10 alleged militants and arrested two alleged female suicide bombers along with an alleged facilitator during intelligence-based operations in Balochistan’s Surab and Mastung districts.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations were conducted over the past 48 hours based on intelligence regarding militant hideouts.
The military’s media wing said seven alleged militants were killed in Surab, while three were killed in Mastung.
The ISPR also stated that two alleged female suicide bombers linked to what it referred to as Fitna al-Hindustan, along with an alleged facilitator, were taken into custody.
According to the statement, weapons, ammunition and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were recovered during the operations.
The military said a clearance operation was also carried out to eliminate any remaining militants in the area, adding that counterterrorism operations under the Azm-e-Istehkam initiative would continue.
