The Punjab government has decided to establish a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to investigate the violence and vandalism during the recent protests and military and civil installations.
A meeting was held on the law and order situation under the chairmanship of caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, in which it was decided to form a JIT to investigate the vandalism and arson in Jinnah House, military and civil installations. Will submit to the government.
In the meeting, it was also ordered to speed up the actions to bring all the miscreants under the law.
Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi said that geo-fencing will be done at all places of vandalism, all cases against miscreants will be tried in anti-terrorism court, no culprit will be spared and no innocent will be killed, evidence and proofs. Every miscreant will be brought to justice.
Mohsin Naqvi further said that elements attacking military and civilian property will not be spared from severe punishment, zero tolerance policy has been adopted against miscreants, the situation is improving, they will ensure the protection of lives and property of the people. The entire force is on alert to thwart the ambition.
