Faisalabad: In a mishap near Faisalabad, one bogie of the Lahore-to-Mianwali Express derailed, resulting in at least 10 injured passengers. The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals for immediate medical treatment.
According to rescue sources, an incident occurred involving a train traveling from Lahore to Chak Jhumra, an area near Faisalabad. Due to the soft ground caused by heavy rainfall, one bogie of the train overturned.
Rescue authorities reported that 10 individuals, including women and children, were injured in the accident.
Reacting promptly to the situation, rescue teams rushed to the scene and provided immediate medical assistance to the injured. The injured were subsequently transferred to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.
According to Pakistan Railways officials, the reason for the derailment was attributed to the deteriorated condition of the railway tracks, severely affected by heavy rains in the area.
The injured individuals affected by the train accident belong to Okara, Mianwali, Essa Khel, Chiniot, Duniapur, Lahore, and Sargodha.
