New Delhi: More than 230 people have been killed and over 900 injured in a horrific train accident in India. Those injured in the accident were shifted to nearby hospitals.
According to Indian media, a dreadful collision occurred between a passenger train and a goods train in the Balasore district of Odisha state. The passenger train, Coromandel Express, was traveling from Kolkata to Chennai. Following the collision, four coaches of the passenger train overturned.
The injured were transported to nearby hospitals, while emergency measures were implemented in hospitals in Balasore. According to initial investigations, both trains ended up on the same track, leading to the accident.
