The Pakistan cricket team created a new history on Indian soil by defeating the Netherlands in their first match in the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup.
On Friday, in the ICC Men’s World Cup match held in Hyderabad, Deccan, Pakistan made a historic start by easily defeating the Netherlands with a margin of 81 runs.
Chasing Pakistan’s target of 287 runs, the Netherlands’ team was bowled out at 205 runs in 41 overs.
The reason this victory is a new milestone on Indian soil is that Pakistan has won the One Day World Cup match for the first time in India.
Prior to this, Pakistan had played two One Day World Cup matches on Indian soil, and they had lost both matches to the Green Shirts.
In the quarterfinals of 1996, India defeated Pakistan in Bangalore, while in the semifinals of 2011, Pakistan faced defeat against India at Mohali.
