In a terrifying incident, several shops were engulfed in a devastating fire in the Sadar Mobile Market area of Karachi. After hours of efforts, the fire was finally brought under control.
A terrible fire broke out in the mobile market of Sadar area of Karachi on Tuesday morning, which immediately engulfed dozens of shops.
As soon as the fire was reported, fire brigade vehicles and rescue agencies reached the spot. 10 fire tenders and 2 bowsers participated in the fire extinguishing process.
The fire brigade staff tried to put out the fire by breaking the locks and shutters of the shops and after several hours the fire was brought under control, but dozens of shops were burnt down due to the fire and the shopkeepers lost crores of rupees.
Fire brigade officials say that many small shops have been built in the market after which difficulties were faced in the relief work.
Regarding the fire, President of Electronics Dealers Association Rizwan Irfan says that there are more than 800 shops only on the ground floor of the market.
There is fire safety in the market but the fire spread very quickly in the shops and more than 100 shops were affected by the fire.
