The price of gas has been increased by Rs. 250 per MMBTU from July 1st for captive power plants. Gas prices will remain unchanged for all other sectors, including domestic consumers.
According to the notification, gas prices will remain unchanged for fertilizer factories, ice factories, and the cement sector, gas prices for domestic commercial and industrial consumers will remain unchanged, and gas prices will also remain unchanged for government and private power plants.
The ECC had approved the revision of gas prices from July 1.
