Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has criticised the Sindh government over the Mir Raza case, saying that the facts emerging from the investigation indicate that the entire system had been compromised.
Sharing a clip on social media, Khawaja Asif said continued focus on the case was helping bring the facts to light.
He claimed that developments in the investigation showed that the entire system had been compromised and warned that strict oversight would be needed to prevent any attempt to conceal the matter.
Khawaja Asif also said that those who allegedly tried to suppress the case should be exposed.
Meanwhile, the Sindh government has decided to establish a judicial commission to investigate the case.
Sindh Home Minister Zia Lanjar said the government wanted to ensure justice for Mir Raza’s family and had also constituted a new committee to examine the matter.
He added that the final decision regarding conflicting reports would be left to the judicial commission or the courts.
