Karachi: After two days of decline in global and local gold markets, prices saw an increase today, Wednesday.
In the international bullion market, the price of gold per ounce increased by $10, bringing the new global price to $2372 per ounce.
Meanwhile, in local currency markets, the price of 24-carat gold per tola increased by Rs. 600, reaching a new price level of Rs. 245,600. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs. 514, reaching Rs. 210,562.
Contrary to the increase in gold prices, the price of silver remained stable in the country, with no change at Rs. 2900 per tola and Rs. 2486.28 per 10 grams. Representatives from the bullion market attribute the fluctuation in local gold prices to increased buying activity following recent declines.
It is noteworthy that there has been a trend of decreasing gold prices over the past two days.
