Islamabad: The Supreme Court summoned the Chief Election Commissioner immediately. The Chief Election Commissioner has been summoned in the CCPO Lahore Ghulam Mehmood Dogar transfer case.
Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan remarked that despite the order of the Supreme Court, why were the officers changed? The Election Commission is doing all the work except its work. Why was there such a hurry to transfer Ghulam Mahmood Dogar?
The lawyer of the Punjab government replied that CCPO Lahore Ghulam Mehmood Dogar was transferred for the second time with the permission of the Election Commission.
Justice Mazahar Ali Naqvi said that half of Punjab has been transferred. There is no such district in Punjab where transfer has not taken place. The hearing of the case will resume after an hour.
