In an intelligence-based operation conducted in the Spinwam area of North Waziristan, security forces effectively targeted a hideout of militants.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), four militants were killed in a fierce exchange of fire. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the neutralized militants, who were involved in terrorist activities against security forces and the targeted killing of innocent civilians.
The ISPR further stated that a clean-up operation is ongoing in the region to eliminate any remaining militants. Pakistan’s security forces remain resolute in their mission to eradicate terrorism.
In a separate set of operations conducted on January 12 and 13, security forces targeted militant hideouts in the Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Tirah Valley. In Tank, six militants were killed in an operation, while another operation in the Tirah Valley resulted in the elimination of two more. A total of eight militants were neutralized during these actions.
Additionally, on the previous day, security forces carried out an operation in the Kachhi district of Balochistan. During the operation, 27 terrorists were killed following an intense exchange of gunfire after they were surrounded by security personnel. The operation also destroyed multiple terrorist hideouts, along with the seizure and destruction of weapons, ammunition, and explosives.
The ISPR revealed that the neutralized terrorists were involved in numerous acts of terrorism against security forces and innocent civilians. These individuals were also on the wanted list of law enforcement agencies.
The operations highlight the unwavering commitment of Pakistan’s security forces to eliminate the scourge of terrorism and ensure the safety and security of the nation.
