According to the Meteorological Department, hot and dry weather is expected today in the federal capital, Balochistan, and Sindh.
Extreme heat is forecasted in Sindh and southern Punjab, with Karachi’s temperature likely to reach up to 40°C.
Yesterday, Jacobabad was the hottest area in the country, recording 44°C. Larkana, Lasbela, Mithi, Dadu, and Mirpur Khas recorded 43°C.
In Karachi, the maximum temperature recorded was 41°C.
Additionally, the provincial capital Lahore is also experiencing heat. The minimum temperature is expected to be 21°C and the maximum up to 38°C, while the current temperature has been recorded at 31°C.
According to the Meteorological Department, the humidity level has reached 21%, and the wind speed has been recorded at 5 km/h.
