Pakistani police officer Anum Khan Muhammad Sher has won the global “Excellence in Criminal Investigation” award at the World Police Summit Awards 2025 held in Dubai.
Anum Khan serves as an investigation officer in Sargodha, Punjab, and was honored with this international recognition for her exceptional investigative skills and professional leadership.
The award was presented during a grand ceremony hosted by Dubai Police, attended by police chiefs and security experts from over 90 countries.
Anum Khan received this prestigious award for successfully solving two major murder cases in Punjab.
In the first case, she led the investigation into the brutal murder of a 12-year-old domestic worker, Ayesha Bibi. Under her supervision, Sargodha Police apprehended the suspects within just 72 hours.
In the second case, she successfully led the arrest of suspects involved in the murder of a young man named Mohsin, within only 24 hours. Anum Khan has previously been honored with commendation certificates and awards by the Punjab Police.
The award was presented under the patronage of the United Arab Emirates at the World Police Summit, a major international platform recognizing outstanding achievements in global policing.
According to the organizers, Anum Khan was selected after reviewing over 900 investigative reports submitted from around the world, highlighting her exceptional investigative capabilities.
Speaking in Dubai after receiving the award, Anum Khan said, “This is a proud moment for Pakistan and the Punjab Police. It’s an honor to represent my country and prove that we are capable not only of maintaining law and order but also of achieving global standards in policing. This award is a tribute to my entire team and our core values.”
