In a joint operation based on intelligence reports, security agencies and police arrested four alleged agents of India’s intelligence agency RAW from the Malir area of Karachi. According to officials, the operation was conducted following information received from confidential sources to neutralize potential threats to national security.
Sources revealed that the arrested individuals were found in possession of images of sensitive locations, key documents, and other materials, some of which contained geotagged data. This material was reportedly intended to be delivered to India to target Pakistan’s sensitive sites and installations.
During the operation, security personnel also recovered hand grenades, various lethal weapons, mobile phones, and other critical items from the suspects, all of which are undergoing forensic analysis. Initial investigations indicate that the arrested individuals had direct contact with the RAW agency in India and were collecting various forms of intelligence in Pakistan under direct instructions from abroad.
Following their arrest, the suspects were immediately moved to an undisclosed location for further interrogation. Investigators are also probing whether these alleged agents had any local network or facilitators aiding their activities.
Law enforcement agencies described the operation as a major success for Pakistan’s national security, claiming it has once again foiled the malicious plans of hostile elements. Authorities also hinted that more arrests and revelations are expected in the coming days.
