The traditional cricket rivalry between Pakistan and India will now extend to women’s cricket as well. Pakistan’s women’s team will face India on October 5 in Colombo during the ICC Women’s One Day World Cup.
The national squad will depart for Sri Lanka tomorrow to begin their campaign.
The Women’s ODI World Cup is set to begin on September 30. As part of their preparations, Pakistan’s women’s team has been playing a series against South Africa Women in Lahore. South Africa has already won the first two matches, while the final match of the series is being played today. Afterward, the Pakistan team will travel to Sri Lanka, while South Africa will head to India.
All of Pakistan’s matches in the tournament will be played in Colombo. Their first game is scheduled against Bangladesh on October 2, followed by the high-voltage clash with India on October 5.
According to the fixtures, Pakistan will play Australia on October 8, England on October 15, New Zealand on October 18, South Africa on October 21, and their final group match against Sri Lanka on October 24.
