Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan will always remain the guardian of the holy sites of Makkah and Madinah and that every Muslim is ready to sacrifice their life to protect these sacred places.
Addressing a luncheon held in honor of a high-level Saudi trade delegation led by Prince Mansour bin Mohammed Al Saud, Chairman of the Saudi-Pakistan Joint Business Council, the Prime Minister said Pakistan takes great pride in standing shoulder to shoulder with Saudi Arabia in safeguarding the holiest Islamic sites.
The Prime Minister expressed his firm commitment to strengthening cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in joint business ventures, trade and industry, and research and development. He urged the business communities of both countries to capitalize on opportunities and initiate practical steps for joint projects.
Highlighting the recently concluded historic strategic mutual defense agreement between the two countries, Shehbaz Sharif said the pact formally represents the long-standing and deeply rooted relations that have flourished informally over several decades.
Speaking on the occasion, Prince Mansour bin Mohammed Al Saud praised Pakistan’s investor-friendly environment. He said there is significant potential for cooperation between the two countries in agriculture, dairy farming, meat processing, food security, pharmaceuticals, and construction, which can benefit both nations.
