Severe and continuous rainfall in Dubai has caused major disruption to flight operations between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates, resulting in the cancellation of several flights to Dubai and Sharjah from various airports across the country, while dozens more have experienced significant delays.
According to the flight schedule, a total of 18 flights operating from different Pakistani airports to Dubai and Sharjah have been completely cancelled due to the unusual weather conditions. Additionally, 67 flights across multiple airports have faced prolonged delays in arrivals and departures, causing substantial inconvenience and disruption to the travel plans of thousands of passengers.
Reports indicate that two flights operating between Dubai and Karachi, two from Faisalabad to Dubai, three scheduled from Lahore, six departing from Peshawar, and two from Islamabad were also cancelled because of the severe weather situation.
Flight data further shows that 16 flights at Lahore Airport, 12 at Karachi Airport, and 21 at Islamabad Airport experienced delays. Meanwhile, heavy fog created additional disruptions at Multan Airport, affecting eight flights, while Sialkot, Peshawar, Skardu, and Quetta airports also reported delays in two to four flights each.
