Reports have emerged of a blast near an imambargah in the federal capital, Islamabad, triggering panic in the surrounding area. According to sources, an explosion occurred near an imambargah in Islamabad’s Tarlai area, resulting in initial reports of multiple people being injured, while the exact number of casualties has yet to be confirmed.
As soon as the incident was reported, police, rescue services, and bomb disposal squad teams rushed to the scene and cordoned off the area, launching a comprehensive search and clearance operation. Rescue officials provided immediate medical assistance to the injured and shifted them to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Security officials stated that, based on preliminary evidence, the explosion could be a suicide blast; however, the final nature of the incident will be determined after the completion of investigations. Police officials added that evidence is being collected from the site, and CCTV footage from nearby areas is also being obtained to ascertain the full details of the incident.
