Security forces carried out an effective intelligence-based operation in the Pishin district of Balochistan, killing five militants affiliated with Fitna al-Khawarij, including a suicide bomber. The operation was conducted based on credible intelligence reports aimed at curbing terrorist activities in the area, during which an intense exchange of fire also took place.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Army, the operation was launched at a specific location in Pishin following confirmed intelligence regarding the presence of militants. Acting promptly on the information, security forces professionally conducted the operation, resulting in the elimination of five militants, including a suicide bomber. A clearance operation in the area was also completed thereafter.
The ISPR stated that the killed militants were involved in multiple terrorist activities and were wanted by law enforcement agencies. A significant quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from their possession during the operation, which has been taken into custody for further investigation.
The military’s media wing further emphasized that efforts to eradicate the menace of terrorism from across the country are ongoing. It reaffirmed the commitment that indiscriminate and decisive operations against terrorists will continue to ensure lasting peace and stability.
