In response to alleged unprovoked actions by the Afghan Taliban, Pakistan has launched air operations under Operation Ghazab ul Haq. According to security sources, the Pakistan Air Force destroyed a major ammunition depot in Nangarhar, while further strikes are ongoing.
Sources state that key military targets were struck following precise identification of locations. In addition to Nangarhar, significant military installations in Kabul, Kandahar and Paktia were reportedly destroyed through effective air strikes.
According to security sources, two brigade headquarters were targeted in Kabul, while in Kandahar one corps headquarters and one brigade headquarters were destroyed. An ammunition depot and a logistics base in Kandahar were also struck, and a corps headquarters in Paktia was reportedly destroyed.
It is pertinent to note that Pakistan initiated Operation Ghazab ul Haq following cross border actions attributed to the Afghan Taliban, with retaliatory measures being carried out in border areas.
Security sources further claim that during ground operations, several Taliban hideouts were destroyed and some fighters were forced to flee. In a separate action near the Kurram sector, eight militants were reportedly killed. According to confirmed reports so far, approximately 44 Afghan Taliban fighters have been killed.
