Another Pakistani national has been killed during recent attacks on the United Arab Emirates, bringing the total number of Pakistani casualties in the country to three. Authorities stated in a post on X that the incident occurred after an air defense system successfully intercepted a ballistic missile, but falling debris caused damage.
According to Emirati officials, a Pakistani citizen lost his life in the Bani Yas area of Abu Dhabi after fragments of a ballistic missile fell in the vicinity. Officials confirmed that while the missile was intercepted in time, the debris caused damage in the area and resulted in a fatality.
A statement issued by the Abu Dhabi Media Office explained that the air defense system effectively neutralized the missile threat, but the falling debris led to local damage and loss of life.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense had released figures stating that a total of seven people had been killed in these attacks, including two members of the UAE armed forces and five others, among them two Pakistani nationals. The number of injured individuals has reached 145.
Following the confirmation of another Pakistani death on Tuesday, the total number of Pakistani nationals killed during the recent tensions in the UAE has risen to three, with one death reported in Dubai and two in Abu Dhabi.
Emirati authorities have also urged the public to rely only on official sources for information and to avoid spreading rumors or unverified reports.
