Pakistan Railways has recorded significant revenue from passenger trains during the three days of Eid, reflecting improved performance and increased passenger activity.
According to the spokesperson, the railway earned 110 million rupees on the first day of Eid, 170 million rupees on the second day, and over 200 million rupees on the third day, showing a strong revenue trend over the festive period.
The spokesperson added that more than one billion rupees were generated from passenger trains over the past week, indicating growing public confidence in railway services.
Federal Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi stated that this record revenue is the result of positive policies, and the railway administration deserves appreciation for its performance.
He further said that providing better facilities and a stronger rail track is the right of passengers, and work is underway on both fronts, adding that the Karachi to Rohri track will be fully upgraded within the next three years.
