The United Nations Security Council has called a closed-door meeting on Iran to review the ongoing situation and recent attacks amid rising tensions.
According to international media, the meeting will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. New York time, where member states will assess developments related to Iran.
Reports indicate that Russia requested the meeting following attacks on civilian infrastructure in Iran, prompting the council to convene urgently.
Meanwhile, airstrikes by the United States and Israel continue in Iran, with reports of casualties and damage in multiple areas.
Iranian media reported that six people were killed in strikes on three homes in the city of Qom, while airstrikes were also reported near the Pakistani embassy and the ambassador’s residence in Tehran.
