British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has stated that the conflict between Iran, the United States, and Israel was not Britain’s war, emphasizing that his primary responsibility was to ensure the safety of his country.
Speaking upon arrival in Saudi Arabia, he said that a ceasefire between the United States and Iran has been achieved. However, there is still significant work to be done to stabilize the situation.
He added that efforts must continue to make the ceasefire lasting and sustainable, as the global community seeks long-term peace, which will require further diplomatic engagement.
Keir Starmer stated that keeping the Strait of Hormuz open is of critical importance, and efforts are being made to bring multiple countries together for this purpose, while he will also engage in discussions with Saudi Arabia and other regional nations.
