Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has demanded the removal of the Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources and MD Sui Southern Gas Company from their positions.
PPP Senator Waqar Mehdi stated that Sindh is going through its worst gas crisis, and the supply of gas should be restored in the province, otherwise the federal minister and MD Sui Southern Gas Company should be removed from their positions.
Waqar Mehdi further added that from Karachi to Kashmir, particularly domestic consumers are suffering due to the gas shutdown, and people have faced severe hardships during the first ten days of Ramadan.
The PPP leader also said that the province that used to provide 70% of the country’s gas is now deprived of its own natural resources, and he urged the Prime Minister to investigate the matter with the Federal Minister.
He stated that during the era of Imran Khan, MD Sui Southern Gas Company, Musadiq Malik, had turned a blind eye to the gas crisis.
