Pakistan has announced 500 scholarships for Bangladeshi students over the next five years, while also launching the second phase of the Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor programme.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar had announced the launch of the Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor during his visit to Bangladesh in August 2025.
Under the programme, Pakistan will provide 500 educational scholarships to Bangladeshi students over the next five years to strengthen educational and people-to-people ties between the two countries.
The Foreign Office stated that the second phase of the Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor was launched in Dhaka on May 10, 2026, while a Bangladeshi delegation is currently visiting Pakistan for three weeks under the programme.
According to officials, the initiative aims to promote education, research, youth exchanges, and mutual cooperation between the two countries.
Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also expressed satisfaction over the positive progress in Pakistan-Bangladesh relations and reaffirmed the commitment to further expand bilateral cooperation.
