Balochistan: At least nine terrorists were killed in intelligence based operations carried out in different parts of Balochistan under Operation Radd ul Fitna 3, while militant hideouts were destroyed and weapons and other equipment were recovered.
According to security sources, intelligence based operations were conducted against terrorists in Ziarat, Harnai and Surab following information about their presence and movements in the areas.
Sources said a major intelligence based operation was launched in the mountainous region between Ziarat and Harnai after security forces received information about a terrorist hideout.
Security forces surrounded the hideout and carried out an operation in which eight terrorists were killed.
The hideouts used by the terrorists were also destroyed during the operation.
Separately, security forces in Surab district detected the movement of terrorists between Dasht Katai and Hajika and subsequently launched an operation in Hajika village.
According to security sources, one terrorist was killed during the operation in Hajika.
Sources said ammunition, magazines, hand grenades, walkie talkies, a motorcycle and other equipment were recovered from the possession of the terrorists killed in the operations.
Security sources said the forces remain committed to continuing operations without interruption until terrorism is completely eliminated and lasting peace is established in Balochistan.
