Social activist Umm-e-Rabab Chandio, who belongs to Mehar, has claimed that her cousin’s husband was allegedly killed.
In a video statement, Umm-e-Rabab Chandio alleged that Murtaza, also known as Marto, who had reportedly been released from jail shortly before the incident, arrived with hundreds of armed men and allegedly killed her cousin’s husband.
She demanded an immediate, transparent and impartial investigation into the incident.
Umm-e-Rabab said that if the allegations are proven true, those involved should be given strict punishment in accordance with the law.
Meanwhile, police and the district administration have not yet issued any official statement regarding the incident.
No response has so far been received from Murtaza alias Marto or the other individuals named in the allegations.
