Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has accused former Prime Minister and Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan of recruiting and arming thousands of extremists throughout the country during his tenure. He stated that imposing restrictions on the PTI is the only solution.
Rana Sanaullah has also criticized the Supreme Court and Islamabad High Court for providing extraordinary relief to the PTI chairman in several cases.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Rana Sanaullah stated that Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who had rejected the proposal to impose restrictions on the PTI last week, did not oppose the recommendation.
According to Rana Sanaullah, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari actually stated that he does not support restrictions on political parties, but if Imran Khan does not change his stance, they will be forced to take such actions.
Regarding the role of the judiciary, he said that the Chief Justice not only welcomed a “criminal” but also granted Imran Khan the freedom to meet his desired guests in a government building. The consequences of this act will emerge, as it encourages others to include terrorists in their ambitions.
Rana Sanaullah stated that after Imran Khan’s arrest, those involved in arson and vandalism will not be forgiven. All these “thugs” burned houses and defense installations under Imran Khan’s orders, and their identities will be exposed through CCTV footage.
